Trevone is our favourite beach in Cornwall for young children and dads who still think they can body surf.  Trevone is close to Padstow for a break from the sand and surf. Having stayed in Padstow for a number of years, we longed to find a quality property in Trevone. We were often disappointed to only find facilities that catered for very large families, we are a family of four. With St Edmunds you have an ideal property for a single family or take both apartments for the larger groups. The property is perfectly positioned for walking to the beach and the village shop, or try the beach cafe and surf shop all of which work well for lunch or a break from the beach. This property is perfect for us and we have found Peter and Rachel welcoming and attentive to our needs. I would recommend Trevone and St Edmunds to anyone.

We have just returned from our holiday at Lower St Edmunds, we were very pleased with the layout and the standard of the accommodation.It was nice and clean and tidy with everything we wanted.It was so nice to have lovely bed linen and soft white towels.The location with its easy access to the lovely sandy beach and great walks along the coast,what a wonderful spot!​

Dear Peter & Rachel, I would like to thank you both so very much for letting us stay at Lower St Edmunds last week to enable us to fulfil Alex’s College assignment around Trevone and Padstow. As you know we have stayed at Higher St Edmunds before, which we thoroughly enjoyed and this time stayed at Lower St Edmunds. We would like to say that we are very pleased to have found you & your fab accommodation and that it is a credit to you both. The facilities are perfect & not only well presented and maintained but also has had a lot of thought put into to the utensils & equipment needed for self-catering holidays. I would also like to mention that not only was it immaculately clean but it was so lovely to smell the freshness of the bedding as I drifted asleep after our long days enjoying the coastline. If you wish to give my contact details to anyone making enquiries with you then please do not hesitate as we will happily confirm how happy we are with the accommodation and not to mention how convenient for Trevone Beach it is, which of course is still our favourite after all these years. In 2015 we sent our scouts (the in-laws) to Cornwall with the sole purpose of finding the perfect beach for young children. They reported back that Trevone, with its beautiful sandy beach, a large natural pool for younger children, lots of rock pools for bigger kids, fantastic coastal walks/runs and a stones throw from Padstow, was the perfect destination. With that in mind I was somewhat perplexed when they booked accommodation 40 minutes away, something only the parents amongst you will understand, became problematic. We were always the car to arrive without the £4 car park charge too and after causing a queue akin to those seen regularly on the M25, we decided that we would book something a little closer in future. So, in July 2016, my wife and I ditched the in-laws and stayed in Lower St Edmunds. We found the apartment very spacious, well equipped and above all, clean! It was safe for a 5 and 3 year old who we were able to lock in the courtyard once we had enough of them. Its just a five minute walk to the beach and if you're a runner, its close to the challenging coastal paths which lead to Padstow in one direction and beaches in the other. Despite being on the ground floor, we did not hear the people upstairs and with the free parking space, we couldnt have asked for more so when we arrived to a bottle of wine, it made my evening. The wine obviously had the desired effect because we returned in August, this time staying in Higher St Edmunds........... with the mother-in-law. Fortunately it is a large apartment so we didn't cross swords on too many occasions and if the worst came to the worst, I could retreat to the converted, en-suite loft room and admire the amazing views across to the beach and surrounding cliffs. As above, it is very well equipped and clean. We have already booked again for next year and cannot wait! Our thanks to the owners, see you next year

Hello Peter, Thanks once again, we always look forward to staying in your holiday home because its always welcoming, cosy and spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic week, the weather was unbelievable and we had some wonderful walks along the coastal paths. This is the best accommodation we have stayed in recent years during our annual pilgrimage to Cornwall in September. An excellent standard in all respects and ideally situated approx 100 yds from the excellent Trevone beach.The welcoming sponge cake was a nice touch:-) We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and hopefully we will return in the future.
